1948 Magic-Beano Book

The Magic and Beano comics combined their characters for a sixth year in a row, even though the regular Magic comic had ceased publication during the War, in 1941.

Big Eggo and Koko the Pup

Readers would now recognise Koko as one of Eggo’s friends rather than mascot of the Magic. On occasion, characters would jump between comics, either starting new publications or surviving ceased publications from publisher DC Thomson.
