World Book Day is nearly here and at this time of year we love to celebrate the awesome, amazing, transformational power of reading! It's true - reading can turn you into a real-life superhero and to prove it, we've only gone and got a real-life superhero of our own to launch our reading campaign.

Our real-life superhero is former athlete Greg Rutherford who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics and he's here to launch Beano's Libraries Aloud campaign by giving us a reading of a very special edition of the world's longest-running (and most blamtastic) comic! (That's the Beano, obvs).

Anyway, Beano is creating a special edition comic for World Book Day (which goes on sale on 2^nd March 2022) and this comic will feature the World’s Loudest Ever Comic Strip, designed for kids to read out loud with their family and friends - which in true Beano style contains over 35 crashes, bangs, wallops, thwacks and parps!
